Johnny Grey wishes to state that the comments on client budgets in today's Wealth Bulletin were not an accurate reflection of the comments made to the journalist. His kitchens start from around £75,000 and although this figure can increase, they would not reach the figures mentioned unless the project included substantial building works.
Client confidentiality is paramount in everything we do. It is an integral part of our core values and as such taken very seriously. There would never be an occasion on which we would speak about clients to the media without express instructions.
Johnny Grey Studios was part of a dramatic design event in New York. Metropolitan Home magazine and Showtime TV set up a showhouse in Gramercy Park. Designers from around the world were invited to create a room inspired by one of six hit Showtime television series. Our choice was Dexter, the protagonist of the popular crime drama.

We re-launched our US business in September improving integration with our UK studio and are now known collectively as Johnny Grey Studios. We have a network of representatives currently in New York, LA and San Francisco with plans to expand to other major US cities.
Annalisa Barbieri wrote "Windows of the Mind," in the Guardian Weekend about one of Johnny's core interests, the psychology of the home. She describes how our design studios in UK and USA apply neuroscience analysis to kitchens and interior design for all of our clients.
Johnny received the Simon Taylor Award for lifetime achievement in the kitchen industry on October 7. The Design Awards ceremony, held in London, was organised by Designer Magazine and sponsored by the British kitchen and bath industry.
The Award - named in memory of British kitchen designer Simon Taylor, who died in 2004 - is presented to an individual who is judged to have made an outstanding contribution to kitchen and bathroom design.
We like to create spaces that invite you to sit down and stay awhile. What better than to have a workplace that feels like your JG kitchen? We designed a personal study/office, a boardroom and satellite offices for our client Ron Baker, who already has one of our kitchens at his home in Melbourne. He is launching the IPO of Arkbe, his new steel company.
Set in a prestigious Arts and Crafts building in Mayfair, the new London centre of hedge funds and Russian investment companies, it forms a delightful boutique office with a strongly personal but confident interior.
Soft geometry and the intelligent use of space are at the heart of our design philosophy. After years of waiting for such an opportunity, we recently completed a project for a family in South East England where the brief included designing in a circular space.
We focused on easy flow to make everyone feel there is space for the body to move about, reach whatever they need, and move naturally. It was especially important as the family includes four energetic children who constantly bounce in and out of the kitchen.
Just as we strive to create kitchens that are more than just a room where you cook - in other words, a kitchen to live in - here we serve up some food for thought. Read our blog 'Grey Matters' for the latest on our ongoing projects, recent media coverage and our reflections on current design trends.
